Mission Statement - What we do daily and how we do it

Shine School is a Christ-centered community that empowers students with autism and related conditions through individualized education, compassionate support, and a foundation of faith. Our mission is to help every child Shine with Confidence, Learn with Joy, and Grow in Faith.

Vision Statement - What the future looks like because of our mission

To create a world where students with autism and related conditions are celebrated, supported, and equipped to reach their fullest God-given potential. Shine School envisions a future where Christ-centered education nurtures every child’s unique light, and where inclusion, joy, and purpose guide the path forward.

Our Core Values - What we believe

These reflect the foundation of our school culture—for staff, students, and families—and are rooted in the love and teachings of Jesus Christ:

  • Compassion – We treat every student with dignity, empathy, and care, just as Christ calls us to “be kind and compassionate to one another” (Ephesians 4:32).

  • Collaboration – We work in unity with families, therapists, and educators, believing that we are stronger together, “one body with many parts” (1 Corinthians 12:12).

  • Respect – We honor the individuality and strengths of each child, recognizing that every person is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27).

  • Growth – We believe every student can make meaningful progress, and we encourage perseverance, knowing that “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

We understand the challenges that parents of children with special needs face, which is why we’ve created a space where children can receive the therapy and support they need during the school day. Our students have access to essential therapies, including:

ABA Therapy: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a cornerstone of our curriculum, helping students develop essential life skills and behaviors. Behavior Bricks ABA Therapy Center operates out of Shine School and is the premier choice for ABA services at Shine School. 

Speech Therapy: Our expert speech therapists work to improve communication skills and enhance students' ability to express themselves.

Language Therapy: Tailored to meet the needs of each student, language therapy helps with both receptive and expressive language development.

Occupational Therapy: Our OT specialists support students in building motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and daily living tasks.

Physical Therapy: For those who need additional support with movement and physical coordination, our physical therapy program ensures students gain strength and mobility.

We believe in making life easier for parents. By providing all of these services within the school day, we eliminate the need for families to shuttle their children from one therapy center to another, saving valuable time and energy. Our goal is to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally – all under one roof.
